About Our Club

The mission of the Akron Metro Futbol Club (AMFC) is to promote and develop the sport of soccer, to develop each soccer player to the maximum of his or her ability and goals, and to foster a spirit of sportsmanship and fellowship within its members.

Focusing on our vision of soccer and education, Akron Metro Futbol Club (AMFC) is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides soccer skills, training and development through Licensed Volunteers and Licensed Soccer Professionals in an environment that serves the needs of its players and parents. For all levels and skills of players, we provide the necessary knowledge of the game, self-esteem, self-respect and teamwork to promote the game of soccer.

AMFC is committed to soccer excellence and sportsmanship. We strive to continue to be the best soccer club in Greater Akron and the surrounding communities. 

About our Coaches

Akron Metro Futbol Club (AMFC) is proud of all of our Coaching Staff and their tireless dedication to our children and the sport of soccer!

From our Volunteers to our Professionals, at every level of competition, AMFC Coaches continuously set and raise the bar for soccer training in Greater Akron and the surrounding communities. Our Coaches deploy the Positive Coaching techniques set forth by U.S. Youth Soccer. All AMFC Coaches must pass State-mandated background checks (http://www.oysan.org/Assets/RM+Guidelines.pdf) and concussion training, while continuing Coaching Education commensurate with the level of play of their Teams. Coaches are randomly reviewed on their training and teaching abilities.

Our Director of Coaching establishes the Club philosophy for training. In turn, all of our Coaches are equally educated and trained into the AMFC System. Our Club also utilizes a Coach mentoring program where our highest-licensed Staff work side-by-side with our Volunteer Coaches to immerse them in the AMFC Advantage –

This means EVERY player at AMFC receives the same level of soccer training. Emphasis will always be placed on INDIVIDUALIZED PLAYER DEVELOPMENT.
